Language Play
Erik is a visual artist and language artist with a liking for writing with constraints, often exploring contextual visual representation. Alchemist by chance, designer Erik finds gold hidden in Jamison’s knees, Lubalin’s marks, Neruda’s odes, Pythagoras’ quest, Rembrandt’s sunbeams, Tinguely’s uselessness, vowels, Whiteread’s xanadus, yesterday’s zaniness.
Erik leads Writhing Society workshops at Brooklyn Poets and other venues. His poetry and other writings are featured in 13 Writhing Machines, AMP: Always Electric, Upstart: Journal of English Renaissance Studies, Cryptozoo (Proteotypes), and Abecedarium:NYC.
